The Crazy Horse Monument is in the background. Photos don't do it justice. It's a beautiful (and huge!) carving. We'll have to come back in a decade or two and see how much more has been completed!
The teepee we slept in; the one that taught us that teepees (or at least this one) leak when it rains. Needless to say we were up really early the next morning. But it did mean that daddy didn't have to roll up another wet tent!
